Dental FAQ

1What Should I expect during the Appointment?
You will have your medical and dental health history evaluated during the first visit. We will perform an examination of your teeth and gums, screen for oral cancer, take x-rays, and complete a TMJ exam. A diagnosis will be provided following review of your dental profile. We will discuss your treatment options and determine the financing plan.
2How frequently do I have to make dental visits?
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends visiting a dentist at least twice per year for checkups and cleanings.
3What is “painless dentistry”?
Painless dentistry ensures a dental care experience that is provided in as comfortable and pleasant a manner as possible. There are treatment options that can be provided without any need for anesthesia and are the most accommodating to your needs.
4What do I do during an emergency?
If you believe you are affected by a dental emergency, we will accommodate you in our schedule and provide a thorough evaluation. Please call our office immediately if a dental emergency has occurred. During non-business hours, use the emergency contact number.
5What plans are available to pay for my treatments?
There are various types of dental insurance plans we accept and can help cover the cost of treatments. We offer low interest rate payment plans such as CareCredit and accept most credit cards, including American Express, MasterCard, Discover, and Visa.
6Can the dentist whiten my teeth?
Zoom teeth whitening is provided by most dentists and offers a professional route to restoring cleaner and whiter teeth. One session lasts for only a few hours and you can even read during the treatment. Overnight bleaching involves making an impression of your teeth and creating a mouthguard. The appliance is filled with bleaching gel and worn overnight. The results from this process can be seen after two weeks of treatment.
